About the Founder

Brian Middleton, remains a proud Houston native, as well as an advocate for educational opportunities for young people within the city. An alum of Lamar High School, Middleton received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Houston. Directly following, Middleton graduated with honors from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Beginning his legal career representing the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as well as working as a briefing attorney at the Texas Court of Criminal of Appeals, Mr. Middleton also established the Middleton Law Firm. Serving as both a judge for the City of Jacinto City and an adjunct professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Middleton went on to serve as Ft. Bend County's first African-American district attorney in 2018.

Middleton comes from a legacy of attorneys, with both his father and sibling holding decades of law experience. As a husband and a father of three, Middleton maintains firm family values that further his commitment and enthusiasm for youth empowerment.

Middleton founded Expose Excellence as a way to provide guidance and opportunities to the youth, preventing their entry into the juvenile justice system. From there, it expanded to giving back to students in the Fort Bend County community offering enriching ways for youth self-expression. Middleton is dedicated to the future of the students that the program serves and aims to extend the program's resources to youth in counties across the Houston Metroplex.
